BLIA LLC ("we", "our", "us") operates the Cléa personal AI assistant application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Cléa.

Information We Collect

Cléa collects the following types of information to provide you with a personalized experience:

• Account Information: Your name and email address from Google Sign-In, used to authenticate your account.
• Conversations: Messages you send to Cléa and her responses, stored to provide continuity and personalized assistance.
• Memories: Facts and preferences Cléa learns from your conversations (e.g., family members' names, dietary preferences), used to personalize future interactions.
• Email Data: If you connect Gmail, Cléa reads and classifies incoming emails to surface bills, kids' activities, appointments, and other important messages. Email content is processed in real time and classified summaries are stored — full email bodies are not permanently stored.
• Calendar Data: Events from Google Calendar and Apple Calendar are synced to help Cléa answer scheduling questions and provide contextual reminders.
• Health Data: If you grant access, Cléa syncs daily steps, sleep, active calories, workouts, and cycle tracking data from Apple Health. Health data is used for wellness check-ins and weekly summaries. Cycle tracking data is only referenced when you explicitly ask.
• Location Data: When you use features like nearby places, departure alerts, or the Safety SOS, your device location is used to provide relevant results. Location is only accessed when needed for a specific feature.
• Emergency Contacts: If you set up Safety SOS, contact names and phone numbers you provide are stored to enable emergency alerting.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Cléa experience:

• Delivering personalized AI conversations, morning briefings, and weekly digests
• Sending push notifications for briefings, bill reminders, calendar alerts, and safety features
• Generating voice audio of Cléa's responses via ElevenLabs
• Processing emails, calendar events, and health data to surface relevant information
• Sending SMS messages to your emergency contacts when you activate Safety SOS

Third-Party Services

Cléa uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic (Claude): AI language model for conversations and content generation
• Google (Gemini): AI summarization for briefings and digests
• OpenAI: Structured data extraction and embeddings
• ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech voice generation
• Convex: Backend database and serverless functions
• Google APIs: Gmail, Calendar, Drive access with your explicit consent
• GIPHY: GIF search within the chat
• AWS: SMS delivery for Safety SOS

These services process data as needed to provide Cléa's features. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Convex's cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Google OAuth tokens are encrypted before storage. Audio files generated by ElevenLabs are automatically deleted after 7 days. Video attachments are analyzed and then deleted immediately for privacy.

Data Retention

Your conversations, memories, and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual conversations at any time within the app. Incognito conversations are automatically deleted when you exit them.

Your Choices

• You can disconnect Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Drive at any time from Settings.
• You can toggle individual notification types on or off.
• You can use Incognito mode for private conversations that leave no trace.
• You can delete conversations and their associated data.
• Health data access can be revoked at any time through your iPhone's Health app settings.

Children's Privacy

Cléa is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
